Back 40 Mine Awareness Night

January 12, 2019 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Swan Club
875 Heritage Road
De Pere

Join us at the Swan Club in De Pere to learn about the latest news and developments regarding the Back 40 Mine.

The proposed Back 40 Mine on the banks of the Menominee River represents one of the largest threats to fresh water in the country. Though the mining company in question was granted its operating permits (some conditionally), the fight to stop it from becoming a reality is far from over. Many have asked where exactly this proposed mine is in the process. Join us this evening along with our friends from the Coalition to Save the Menominee River to hear the latest updates and find out what you can do to contribute to the cause.

The evening will entail:

  • Guest speakers from the Coalition to SAVE the Menominee River
    • Coalition Attorney Ted A. Warpinski
    • Dr. Al Gedicks, Wisconsin Resources Protection Council
    • Dale Burie, President, Coalition to SAVE the Menominee River, Inc.
  • Live auctions!
  • Raffle
  • Merchandise: t-shirts, yard signs, etc.
  • Meet-and-Greet Cocktails
  • Plenty of chances to donate!
